Inspiration
uring one of my second-hand store expeditions, I ran across a necklace made of tiny little white shells. Incidentally, the white shells looked like those of snails. I had just finished the Woodland Gnomes ornaments so I immersed myself with all five senses in the world of woodlands. After my research, I could still smell the decayed leaves nurturing the soil. And I could still sense the moss growing on the humid tree trunks. I could still taste the density of the fog and hear the tippy toeing of little boots. I could imagine a whole world of magical crawlies inhabiting the enchanted forest. And so I came up with the idea for this unique Enchanted Forest Magic Snail ornament.
Enchanted Forest Snail Ornament Design Process
The Idea
I transformed the idea of these crawlies into a magical snail. I envisioned the snail with diamonds decorating its shell. Legend says that despite their bright white shell, these snails are extremely hard to spot. Because of them living among the white button mushroom groves. Nevertheless, if you are lucky enough to encounter one of them, they surely will bring you good fortune.
Designing the Enchanted Forest Snail Ornament
I designed this snail collectible crawling over a slice of the Enchanted Forest. So I created a miniature snail terrarium, adding toadstools and shiny rocks to the design. Finally, some magical trees protect it from the creatures that inhabit the forest.
Dedication
So, I dedicate this Enchanted Forest Magic Snail to the many hikes we take through our national and state parks, in the event that one day, you might encounter one of these magical crawlies yourself.
